The team behind the feature film Popcorn Prophets is proud to announce a special live stage reading of the screenplay on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at The Citrus Live in Edinburg, Texas. Doors will open at 7:00 PM, with the reading beginning promptly at 7:30 PM.
Special guests will include Nate Boyer, director of Popcorn Prophets, and acclaimed actors and Rio Grande Valley natives Dannie McCallum and David Barrera.
A screenplay reading is a unique event where professional actors perform the script aloud for an audience. It gives the story a voice before cameras roll and offers the community a chance to experience the film in its purest form. For the residents of the Rio Grande Valley, this is an opportunity to see a locally rooted story presented on stage for the very first time.
